Sakura Sushi & Grill Restaurant in Detmold

I really wanted to like this place because the food was pretty good but the service was slow and our experience at the end was not so pleasant...(without going into details). Overall, I like the food but I wouldn’t come back because of the service.

Always my go to place when craving sushi, not expensive for dinner and includes sashimi. Staff is always great here and has a variety of stuff you can order.

Great place and service, food was delicious the all you can eat menu include soups ,salads and dessert, not only sushi like other restaurants, $22.99 per adult and half price for kids 5 and up.

Too much rice

Delicious and healthy

This place makes you never want to eat sushi from a buffet again. A fair price and amazing selection for a fixed price mean you can leave as full as your eyes are. Just make sure you eat what you order. Better to order less and submit multiple orders than to over order and learn a valuable or pricey lesson. Quality is high and the menu is solid. Very kid friendly and atmosphere is peaceful. This is a great dinner spot for dates or family celebrations.

Food is great

We had all you can eat sushi for lunch recently. I was quite impressed with the presentation and, of course, it was delicious! Think buffet BUT it's fresh prepared, brought to you, and authentic! It's now a favorite.

For about $14 per person it's the best "all you can eat" sushi restaurant in the valley. Many options from sashimi, sushi rolls and tempura. Hot and cold sake and an assortment of beers. Fast and friendly service plus a easy to order menu. The atmosphere is pleasant with light Japanese music in the background. Mostly high back booths with a few open tables. I highly recommend this place.

This is a great place to dine in for sure. Everything was delicious. It was a little odd to have it all come out in waves but it was all freshly made to order and to be expected. It works. The udon noodles are spot on.

First time here and it was super tasty, my son loved it too. It's reasonably priced for an all-you-care-to-eat restaurant and we will definitely be coming back!

My boyfriend and I got take out on Christmas Day. The prices are really reasonable, the order was prepared quickly and I was glad they were open as I was craving sushi! We had their Miso soup along with a pretty large array of rolls including a Philly, salmon with avocado, tuna with avocado, a spicy yellowtail, a plain tuna roll and there were supposed to be two of their specialty rolls called Out of Control. Unfortunately we only received one of the Out of Control rolls that we paid for so that was disappointing to say the least. The Miso soup was pretty good. As far as the rolls I thought that the salmon and tuna with avocado were delicious as well as the Philly. They had a good ratio of fish to filling and the fish seemed fresh. The spicy yellowtails fish had a strange texture and a sweetness to it that made me question if I had the right roll but I still enjoyed it. Lastly, the single Out of Control roll was okay. Neither of us thought it had much of a taste except for the spicy Mayo on the top of it. I also felt like it seemed not to have as much fish as I expected it to (it was supposed to have tuna, salmon and yellowtail). Overall, despite the fact that we were out a roll and that we weren’t a fan of one, we both agreed that we enjoyed Sakura Sushi and would go back...maybe for AYCE next time!

Best food fresh , everything come as a little to try. So place an order to try it out first , if you like to get more those I item that you like then order a bunch. To void waste food and getting charged for not to eating it. Clean and good server!

The food is always fantastic and the service is friendly and prompt.

Everything from hot to cold is amazing here! The staff is always friendly and the dishes come out quickly even when it's busy. Try the wasabi tako nigiri and the spicy seafood soup!

Fresh quality sushi. Fair price all you can eat. My favorite roll I tried was the Sakura roll. Also ordered deep fried scallops, tempura udon, and fried bananas with green tea ice cream for dessert. Also liked the music. First visit here and will be back!

Sushi was good. Great value if you eat more than 4 rolls.

I have never experienced any thing worse than this place. The waitress and manager were awful and extremely rude and I will never go there again.. I would actually like a refund because it was not worth a single penny.

These guys have improved substantially since I first came here and I'm bumping up to 4 stars. Quality has improved, but the appetizers still need some work.

This is my favorite sushi spot. Price is great for AYCE and the sushi is fantastic. Service is always awesome. I highly recommend.

Second time going to this place and I absolutely love it. My boys love sushi, I can eat this every single day. The chef prepares your food meticulously to perfection. I will be returning and recommend this place to all the sushi lovers

We are from socal and everyone know how socal residents are spoiled rotten when comes to ayce sushi. Now I have to say you guys here in Phoenix area are lucky to have this place! My value-o-meter went of the chart after trying Sakura. Ayce sashimi with no limit for 23 bucks for adult? The fish quality was superb. I guess you can tell from the photos, right? The rest of food was good too, no doubt. Their rolls are 6 or 8. They don't have the half roll option that i like which makes you able to try more but their rolls are kinda slim style so no worries. Service i give 6 stars if I can. Extremely polite and prompt. But I admit I try to go to any restaurant as early in the service as possible to maximize the potential for success. This was today (Friday) we went for dinner at 3 pm. Of course if you are not into sushi/sashimi then this is not your place :)

We have been going to this place since it opened and always enjoy the great service and food. This is pretty much like any sushi restaurant except you pay 1 price and everything on the menu is included. This place is always very clean and the sushi is prepared when you order so very fresh. The employees are always so friendly and helpful. They have different menus for lunch and dinner, so if you do not see what you usually get check the dinner menu.

Wow! Talk about Buffet! Am super full! Great service. Great environment! I will be back!

I have ate here twice before but today was bad. The one dish that I will never eat from this place again is the spicy tuna rolls or handrolls.. as soon as I left the restaurant, I threw up all my food because the roll was disgusting. Tasted like sweet buffalo wing rolls and not in a good way at all. It's making me feel like I don't want to eat here again. Also when you order a certain amount of food they always add more than what you wanted. Totally inconvenient if you are already starting to get full. I suggest going to Mido Sushi if you want good spicy tuna rolls.
